A jaw-dropping new introduction that will stop you in your tracks! Salvia Bodacious™ 'Rhythm and Blues' is a stunning S. x guaranitica hybrid selected for its early flowering habit and repeat blooming. Loose spires of deep indigo flowers are carried on jet black stems from early summer right through to autumn.

This elegant perennial is a great improvement, producing tighter clumps of foliage which remain deep green with virtually no yellowing. Salvia Bodacious™ 'Rhythm and Blues' makes a superb addition to sunny borders and works well in cut flower arrangements. Like all Salvias it is loved by pollinating insects.

Although perennial, this Salvia will appreciate a sheltered position. In all but the mildest areas of the UK it will require some protection from winter weather. Height: 150cm (59"). Spread: 120cm (48")

How to Grow
Salvia plants prefer a moist, but well-drained soil in full sun, although once established they can also be very drought resistant. This perennial will appreciate a sheltered position with protection from strong winds and particularly hard frosts.
More Info
Feed and water regularly until fully established. Although perennial, this Salvia will require some winter protection in all but the mildest areas of the UK. When growing in containers, it can be moved to a cold greenhouse or conservatory over the winter months. Prune lightly in late spring when new growth appears to remove dead stems and maintain a bushy habit.
