The bright orange berries of Pyracantha ‘Firelight’ shine out like jewels against its rich green backdrop of evergreen leaves, bringing much needed colour into the autumn/winter garden. This undemanding and resilient shrub will thrive almost anywhere. Pyrancantha ‘Firelight’ has a prostrate habit, forming a low, mounding shrub or hedge or it can be trained as a tight wall shrub. Its thorny stems make it is equally useful as a dense impenetrable security hedge that will deter intruders. Pyracantha ‘Firelight’ bears clusters of white flowers in early summer that are loved by pollinators, whilst the berries which follow are enjoyed by birds, so it makes a great choice for attracting wildlife. Height and spread: 50cm-100cm (20-39in).
