Description
This small perennial poppy is a real cutie! The fully double, mellow orange blooms flutter like crepe paper on a summer breeze. Its bright blooms appear throughout the summer upon upright, slender stems. Papaver 'Double Tangerine Gem' forms a neat clump of felted, silvery green foliage, which looks perfectly at home dotted among swaying grasses. This neat little Spanish Poppy is reliable and trouble free, self-seeding to create spreading mounds. Grow it at the front of sunny borders or dotted through gravel gardens and rockeries. Height: 60cm (24”). Spread: 30cm (12”).

How to Grow
Pot up plugs and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. Acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days prior to transplanting. When growing Spanish Poppies, choose a sunny position in rich fertile, well drained soil. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting, mixing it thoroughly and deeply.
More Info
Water regularly until fully established. Cut back old foliage to ground level in autumn. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Spanish poppy in spring. Spanish poppies self-seed freely. If seedlings are not wanted the following year then faded poppy flowers should be deadheaded.
