Description

These easy to grow hardy annuals look great planted in drifts or in a cut flower arrangement. Don’t forget that the seed heads also look great too. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 30cm (12")

Sowing

Sow March to April or August to September for overwintering. Optimum Germination Temperature: 60-65F (15-18C). Sowing Depth: 1/16 Inch (1.5mm). Seed should be sown outdoors where it is to flower in spring or autumn and thinned out to 12in (30cm) apart.

Space the plants 30cm (12in) apart in full sun in ordinary garden soil.

Culinary note: All poppies are poisonous. However, the seeds produced by somniferum and paeoniflorum poppies only can be eaten. Typically, they are used in bakery recipes. For more details about edible flowers click here.
