A strikingly unusual polemonium. Polemonium pauciflorum 'Sulphur Trumpets' has nodding, creamy yellow flowers like slender, flaring trumpets which are flushed with reddish-pink on the reverse. Blooming throughout summer, the flowers are held on upright stems above finely cut, silvery-leaved foliage. Would suit the front of a sunny or partially shaded border. Height: 40cm (16”). Spread: 20cm (8”).

How to Grow

Grow Polemonium plants in sun or semi shade. Polemonium plants prefer a well drained, moist, fertile soil. On drier soils, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or compost prior to planting.

Water plants regularly throughout summer until fully established. Deadhead faded Polemonium flowers regularly to encourage more blooms throughout the season. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Jacobs Ladder in spring to maintain their vigour.
