Description
A charming herbaceous perennial with a low, spreading habit, reminiscent of the better known perennial, Campanula. This free flowering variety makes a great choice for rockeries or at the front of perennial borders. It is commonly known as the Balloon Flower for its plump, inflated buds that burst open to reveal star-shaped, deep blue flowers. Platycodon grandiflorus ‘Fuji Blue’ is trouble free, but may be slow to emerge each spring, so it is well worth marking its location to avoid accidentally disturbing it. Height and spread: 45cm (18").

4 bare root plants (KA9838)

How to Grow
Grow Platycodon plants in any, reliably moist, well-drained soil. Choose a position in full sun or semi-shade.
More Info
Feed and water regularly until plants are fully established. Platycodon is susceptible to slug and snail damage so take precautions early in the growing season. Cut back the faded flower stems and old foliage in autumn when it begins to die back naturally. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps in spring.
