Flowering Months
Feed and water petunia plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of petunia flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.
Pot up petunia plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun.

Petunia ‘Damson Ripple’ (postiPlugs) (Fertilizer used – Incredibloom) 2015-04-10

Petunia ‘Damson Ripple’ (postiPlugs) (Fertilizer used – Incredibloom) Planted on in 7cm pots and grown on in an unheated greenhouse, pinching out the tips to encourage bushy growth. Later potted on in 3 litre pots keeping these in the greenhouse till end of June before planting in final flowering position, some in hanging baskets and some in borders. Each produced a good number of blooms throughout the season, required deadheading until the end of August. The blooms were both large and deep in colour and made an excellent display.
