Create a little slice of paradise for the wildlife in your garden! Our Perennial Wildlife Mix has been selected for its nectar rich blooms that are irresistable to pollinating insects. Attract the insects and birds are sure to follow. These low, mounding herbaceous perennials form dense clumps of foliage offering cover for small mammals too. Better still, they provide a lovely splash of colour that will return year after year. Plant them all together, or dot them about your borders. Height and spread: up to 60cm (24").

  • Perennial Wildlife Mix comprises:
  • Geum 'Mrs J. Bradshaw' - Flame-red, semi-double blooms on thin wiry stems.
  • Geranium sanguineum var. striatum - Pale pink blooms above attractive, lobed foliage.
  • Geranium psilostemon - Vibrant magenta blooms with a dark central eye.
  • Potentilla x tonguei - Apricot blooms above low growing, dark green foliage.
  • Potentilla 'Yellow Queen' - A host of canary yellow flowers above coarsely lobed foliage.
  • Geranium 'Brookside' - Intensely blue, saucer shaped flowers with prominent maroon veins make a captivating display.

How to Grow
The herbaceous perennials in this collection can be grown in any moist, fertile soil, in sun or semi shade. Work some compost or general fertiliser into the top 20cm of the soil prior to planting.
More Info
In autumn, cut back the old foliage to ground level and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plants. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of perennials in autumn to maintain their vigour.
