Description
The lavish, bicolour blooms of Peony 'White Cap' are simply astonishing! Bold, beetroot-red guard petals surround a ruff of ivory petals at the centre of each bloom, creating a dramatic contrast. The flowers also boast a wonderful fragrance, making this an excellent cut flower. This exceptional herbaceous Peony is a strong grower, forming a bushy plant at maturity, with attractive glossy foliage and plenty of flowering side shoots. Perfect for sunny herbaceous borders, exotic planting schemes and Japanese Gardens. Height and spread: 80cm (31").

3 bare root peony plants (KB3182)
1 peony collection (1 bare root peony plant, 1 x peony & herbaceous plant frame & 1 x 100g peony fertiliser) (KB3140)
1 bare root peony plant (KB2691)

How to Grow
Bareroots should be planted at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Grow peonies in a sunny or semi shaded position on fertile, moist, well drained soil. Peony plants prefer a heavy soil that is rich in organic matter. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost prior to planting. Plant herbaceous peonies so that the top of the crown is just 5cm (2”) below the soil surface, taking care not to plant too deeply as this may prevent or delay peonies from flowering.
More Info
Feed and water peonies regularly until plants are fully established. In exposed positions the stems may require staking to support the large peony flowers. Cut back old foliage in autumn. When growing peonies on light sandy soil, a spring mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost may be applied around the base of the plant, taking care not to bury the crown as this may delay flowering.
