Description
Itoh Peonies are intersectional hybrids, marrying together the best traits of both herbaceous and tree peony parentage. This exotic looking cultivar produces an early summer display of semi-double blooms – a twirling tutu of palest pink with a dash of raspberry at the centre of each flower. The spidery, pale-gold stamens create a stunning contrast. Peony 'Ballarena De Saval' is a compact plant forming a bushy mound of attractive foliage that makes a lovely addition to a sunny border. Height and spread: 75cm (29")

1 x 4 litre potted peony plant (KC0605)

How to Grow
Grow peonies in a sunny or semi shaded position. They prefer a well drained, rich fertile soil. This is best achieved by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or compost to the soil prior to planting, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Plant herbaceous peonies at a depth of around 5cm (2") below the soil surface. Planting too deeply may delay flowering.
More Info
Water regularly until peony plants are fully established. Thereafter, herbaceous peonies require little maintenance and will grow happily for many years if left undisturbed. However, they will appreciate a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost applied around the base of the plant in spring. Plants may take several years to establish before they produce their spectacular peony flowers.
