One of the most popular fountain grasses, Pennisetum ‘Hameln’ is known for its spectacular, catkin like flower heads that appear in summer and last out all through the season as they turn a golden colour to add winter interest. Perfect for planting in groups, either with more of the same, or mixed in with other grasses for a colourful display! Height: 100cm (39”). Spread: 100cm (39”)

Plant Fountain Grass into garden borders in any fertile, light, well drained garden soil, in full sun.
More Info Take care not to overwater as Pennisetum plants may rot in over-wet soils. Although plants are hardy, they will benefit from the added protection of a dry mulch of bark or straw to protect the crown of the plant over the winter. Once you have enjoyed the autumn and winter interest of this plant, you should cut back any dead foliage and faded flowers in the spring.
