Flowering Months
Water ox-eye daisies regularly until fully established. They will self-seed freely. If seedlings are not wanted, deadhead stems of Ox-eye daisy flowers as the blooms fade. In autumn, cut back old stems to just above ground level to make way for new growth in the spring.
Pot up ox-eye daisy plugs and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting outdoors later on. When plants are well-grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before planting them in borders in full sun. Leucanthemum vulgare will happily tolerate almost any soil except those that are excessively dry or waterlogged.
