How to Grow
Oxalis hirta 'Gothenburg' is a half hardy Sorrel originating from South Africa. This showy variety boasts small grey-green leaves and large, well-defined, bright pink blooms that appear in autumn. In a good display, the foliage can be completely covered by its funnel-shaped flowers. This half-hardy Oxalis is best grown in the greenhouse or on a warm windowsill indoors in all but the very mildest parts of the UK. A lovely talking point that provides a splash of colour just as the rest of the garden is fading. Height and spread: 20cm (8").

Outdoors, grow oxalis plants in containers or in sheltered rockeries and borders. In frost prone areas it is best grown as a houseplant on a bright windowsill or in a conservatory or greenhouse. Plant Oxalis corms at a depth of 3cm (1”) in well drained, rich fertile soil, or for indoor cultivation, in a loam based compost such as John Innes No.2. Position in full sun or light shade.
More Info After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it. Oxalis bulbs require a short period of dormancy at this stage, during which time the compost should be allowed to dry out a little so that it is kept just moist. Resume feeding and watering when oxalis plants start into growth again.
