Description

Your garden needn’t sit bare and unloved this winter. Primrose, Pansies and Bellis are perfect for growing on and planting out in late autumn. Tough and reliable, these hardy bedding plants tolerate the coldest winter weather, creating a carpet of green foliage in beds, borders and containers. As spring approaches, an explosion of flowers in a rainbow of colours will brighten even the dullest days. Height and spread: 20cm (8”). Supplied as vigorous plug plants.

Winter Bedding Mix comprises twelve each of:

  • Primrose 'Alaska Mixed’ - A rainbow of super-size primrose flowers with up to 20 different colours.
  • Pansy ‘Frizzle Sizzle Fire’ - Gently scented blooms with ruffled edges and lovely dark faces at the centre of each flower.
  • Primrose ‘Everlast’ - Small, pale yellow flowers are born above rosettes of dark green foliage that make superb ground cover.
  • Pansy ‘Universal Mix’ - Bright, bold pansies in a range of sparkling colours, some solid and some with pretty blotches.
  • Bellis 'Pomponette' Bicolour - This hardy perennial daisy bear tightly double, quilled blooms in pretty shades of pink and white.
  • Primrose ‘Most Scented Mix’ - Let the sweet citrus scent and the fresh colour mix of these gorgeous primroses transport you into spring.

How to Grow
Pot up plug plants and grow them on in bright, frost-free conditions. When plugs are fully rooted into their pots, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days and transplant into beds, borders and patio containers. Plant winter bedding plants in a fertile, well drained soil in full sun or semi-shade.
More Info
Water plants well until established. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.
