Description
Moor Grass is perfect for bringing texture and movement to planting schemes. Its tall, slender flower spikes are topped with silvery-purple blooms that sway and shimmer in the summer breeze. Molinia caerulea ssp. arundinacea 'Mostenveld' is a variegated variety, forming a neat tussock of cream and green striped leaves, which turn to gold in autumn. This hardy deciduous grass is easy to grow and at its best when planted in large groups, where it will associate beautifully with other grasses. Height: 120cm (48”). Spread: 60cm (24”).

1 x 12cm potted pennisetum plant (KB9850)

How to Grow
Molinia can be grown in any fertile, moist, well-drained soil but it particularly enjoys an acid soil. Choose a position in full sun or part shade.
More Info
Feed and water Molinia plants regularly until fully established. Cut back dead foliage and stems to ground level in early spring before new growth appears. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Molinia grass every third year to maintain their vigour.
