The Lavender 'Summer' Collection combines 4 superb varieties of French Lavender in a range of colours. Like all Lavandula species they are richly aromatic and loved by pollinating insects. These improved varieties boast excellent health and a bushy, compact habit. They make fabulous low hedges for edging a sunny patio or wildlife area, and prove equally rewarding in borders and containers. Height and spread: 60cm (24").
Lavender 'Summer' Collection comprises:
Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Try the sweet tasting petals on top of salads or even pancakes, crystallise them for use as cake decorations too. For more details about edible flowers click here.br>Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
20 lavender postiplug plants (5 of each variety) (KB8590)
Grow French lavender plants on free draining soil in full sun. Lavenders dislike wet ground, particularly during winter. Improve heavy soil conditions by adding coarse grit or sharp sand prior to planting. When growing French lavender in large patio containers, use a well drained soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. After planting, prune lavender plants to encourage bushy growth.
