Description
A delightful dwarf lavender which consistently flowers the first year! Compact, rounded plants quickly become smothered with masses of highly fragrant, deep purple lavender flowers from mid-summer onwards, which are highly attractive to bees and butterflies. Lavender angustifolia 'Lady' is ideal for growing in tubs and containers or used as a neat evergreen edging to beds and borders.

1 packet (30 lavender seeds) (26626)

Sowing

Sow April to May or September to October. Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow 3mm (1/8in) deep, in rows 30cm (12in) apart.

Alternatively, sow in late summer in 7.5cm (3in) pots in a cool greenhouse and then overwinter plants in cool, well lit conditions. Plant out the following spring after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart in full sun.

When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 23cm (9in) apart.

More Info

Prefers a light, well drained soil in full sun.

Caution: toxic if eaten.
