Description
Laurus nobilis ‘Bay Junior’ (Standard) will give you that formal feel to any entrance to your home planted either side of your door. They can add to beds and borders structure during the winter as they are evergreen. Bay Junior thrives in well drained, rich soil in a full sun or semi-shade position. This standard Bay has smaller leaves making the foliage dense so it lends it’s self to delicate topiary designs. Height: 80cm (31"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Plant Bay Laurel trees in the ground in any fertile, well drained soil in a sheltered position in sun or semi-shade. Bay trees can also be grown in large containers of soil based compost such as John Innes
More Info
Bay trees do not suffer weed competition well, so keep weeds and grass clear from within a 30cm radius of the base of the tree. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the tree. This will help to retain moisture throughout the summer. Water sweet bay trees well during dry periods particularly during the first 2 or 3 years whilst they are establishing.
