Iris reticulata 'Purple Hill' is perfect for adding a bright punch of colour to your rockery, troughs, and planters. This Dwarf Iris boasts velvety purple blooms with a contrasting splash of gold on each fall and a light perfume. Flowering from as early as late Winter, this resilient bulb is a welcome reminder that Spring is on its way! Be generous when planting to create large groups for maximum impact. Height: 15cm (6”). 25 Bulbs (KC1327)
Plant Iris reticulata bulbs in late autumn, at a depth of approximately twice their own height. Choose a position in full sun in moist, free draining soil. To create a natural effect, cast the bulbs across the area and plant them where they land. Alternatively, plant bulbs in deep containers of loam based compost such as John Innes No. 2 and grow on in a greenhouse or on cool sunny windowsills for an early indoor display.
More Info When growing dwarf iris, allow their foliage to die back naturally before removing it in order to feed the bulb for the following spring. Divide overcrowded clumps of dwarf iris bulbs in autumn. Keep pots of iris reticulata just moist during their dormant period and gradually increase watering as growth begins.
