This German-bred Bearded Iris has proven bullet proof in our UK growing trials, we can't sing its praises enough. Not only does it produce a unique harmonious combination of bicolour blue and yellow blooms, you'll enjoy up to nine buds per stem on this hardy perennial. And just when you think this stunning iris has done its thing for the season it will reward you with a second wave of blooms later in the summer. Stem numbers increase year on year as the plants fill out. Iris 'Edith Wolford' is great for getting that cottage garden look in your borders. Height: 75cm (30"). Spread: 40cm (16").

Flowering Months
Overcrowded clumps of iris plants can be divided in late summer after flowering. Avoid mulching the rhizomes to prevent them from rotting over winter. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten.
Iris sibirica enjoys a sunny position in well drained, neutral to slightly acid soil. These perennials prefer a free draining soil, so amend heavy clay soils with plenty of grit and well rotted manure prior to planting. When planting iris, ensure that the rhizome sits just at the soil surface as they are prone to rot if planted too deeply.

Disappointing Rhizomes 2016-03-06

The rhizomes for these 3 iris's were delivered in the spring. On arrival one of them was soft and covered in blue mould. The instructions said that they can sometimes have mould, but to continue to plant. I did as such, selecting the best spot for the mouldy one... the other two are well and truly up now, but not that one. It was a dud. I'm starting to loose faith in T&M, I've had quite a few disappointing plants come through now. Especially when you can buy an enormous, healthy looking Iris from a popular garden chain for £7 :/ Good for seeds, not much else.

T&M replied on 2016-06-05: Thank you for your review. I am very sorry to learn of your disappointment with your purchase. At your earliest convenience please contact our Customer Care Department at ccare@thompson-morgan.com, one of our agents will be more than happy to look into this further for you.
