Description
This versatile hardy perennial will grow almost anywhere! Houttuynia cordata 'Flore Pleno' is popular for its extreme versatility, tolerating any conditions from boggy pond margins to dry soils in sunny borders. Throughout summer, short flower spikes appear above the foliage bearing exquisite, fully double, white blooms. This elegant cultivar has charming orange scented, heart-shaped foliage that is green, flushed with purple and red. Over time, it will produce a spreading clump that makes superb groundcover. Height: 40cm (16"). Spread: 100cm (39"). Planting depth: Zones 1 & 2 to 10cm (4") below water level.

How to Grow
This hardy perennial is both moisture and drought tolerant, and thrives in almost any position from sun to dappled shade. Plant Houttuynia in any garden soil, or in the shallow margins of ponds with the crown to a depth of 10cm (4") below water level. In favourable conditions, Houttuynia will spread freely, but can be easily contained if planted in containers.

Feed and water Houttuynia plants regularly until fully established. Lift and divide overcrowded clumps of Houttuynia in Spring to maintain plant vigour.
