Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
Transform your patio into an oasis of summer colour with our hibiscus lucky dip. Lasting well into the early autumn, these hardy shrubs will flourish in your garden borders and can also be grown in large containers. Often one of the last plants in the garden to break into bud, Hibiscus are certainly worth the wait. Once the plant has sent its leaves out to cover the bare stems in unusual, diamond shaped, dark green foliage, it will then start to produce its exotic blooms, these can be either single or double flowers and are always instantly recognisable with their tropical appearance. Plant yours out now to establish in your garden, ready for an explosion of colour next summer.

Your lucky dip will be selected from a range of colours, which produce either single or double flowers. Image is for illustration purposes only.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. 2 x 2 litre potted hibiscus plants (T72623P)

Feed and water hibiscus regularly until fully established. Apply a dry mulch such as bark chips to the base if the plant in autumn to protect from winter cold. Prune hibiscus in late spring, removing any stems that have died back or been damaged over winter. Hibiscus are often one of the last shrubs in the garden to break bud, so be patient with plants that are slow to start into growth in spring - they may remain dormant until May!
Grow Hibiscus on rich fertile, reliably moist, well drained soil, in full sun. When growing hibiscus plants in patio containers use a soil based compost, such as John Innes No.3.
