Flowering Months

An elegant evergreen shrub that is grown for its beautiful variegated foliage and contrasting purple stems. The slender leaves are grey-green with irregular, silvery margins. Cold winter weather brings about a gentle purple tint that makes a lovely feature when there is little other colour in the garden. In summer, occasional purple flowers appear, attracting pollinating insects. Hebe 'Silver Anniversary' is neat and compact in habit, making a perfect patio plant or focal point at the front of borders. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 75cm (29").

How to Grow

Grow Hebe plants in moist, well drained, light sandy soil. Avoid planting Hebes on acid soils. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade and sheltered from strong winds.

Water well after planting. Once established Hebe plants require little maintenance other than an occasional trim after flowering to maintain the shape of the plant.
