Description

Colourful and compact Hebe 'Rhubarb and Custard' is a fantastic low-maintenance option for year-round interest. With a dense, bushy habit formed of pink-tinged cream and green leaves, it certainly has the sugary hues of the popular pudding! This wonderful, low-maintenance compact shrub provides interest all year round with its fabulous foliage, which develops a more intense pink shade during the winter months, set off by its purple stems. In summer, a profusion of purple flower spikes appear above the foliage for added interest. These nectar-rich blooms are also a big hit with pollinators like bees and butterflies. Hebe is a slow growing compact shrub which requires very little in terms of fuss, maintaining a neat and rounded shape as it matures. Ideal for growing in borders, shrubberies or large patio containers. Height: 60cm (24”). Spread: 60cm (24”).
