Description
You’ll find this fuzzy-leaved house plant hard to resist! The jagged-edged, dark green leaves are shrouded in a covering of soft, bright-purple hairs. In winter, spidery, golden flowers are borne at the tips of each stem, making a striking colour contrast with its leaves. With a spreading habit, Gynura aurantiaca ‘Purple Passion' makes an eye-catching focal point as it spills over the edges of its pot. Despite its exotic looks, Gynura is easy to grow, thriving in a bright spot, away from the scorch of hot, direct sunlight. Height and spread: 60cm (24").

1 x 12cm potted gynura plant (KB8631)

How to Grow
Position Gynura in a lightly shaded spot, well away from the scorch of hot, direct sun. Velvet Plants require temperatures above 15C (59F) and enjoy good humidity.
More Info
Water regularly, allowing the pot to drain well after each watering, to keep the compost evenly moist but never soaking wet. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth.
