Description

This bird feeder has been designed specifically to hold Niger seeds. These seeds are popular with Goldfinches and other interesting wild birds. It's a great addition to a wildlife friendly garden, and can be hung from a bird feeding station frame, bird table or tree branch.

Made from durable plastic, it has a removable base so it can be cleaned, and a top lid, that can be opened so it can be refilled with seed. It features 2 hooped perches so the birds can rest as they feed on the seeds. The feeder can store 350g of seed and the domed lid, helps to keep the seeds dry.

Niger seed is a small black seed that originates from Africa, favoured mainly by finches as the structure of their beak is ideally suited for this tiny seed. Rich in oil content and highly nutritious, niger seed is a staple in any finches diet.
