Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded fuchsia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Apply a deep bark mulch around the base of hardy fuchsias in autumn to protect the roots from winter cold. Prune stems back to a low permanent framework in spring.
Pot up hardy fuchsias using well drained compost such as John Innes No.3, and grow on in warm, frost-free conditions. Pinch out the growing tips while fuchsia plants are still small to promote bushier growth and more flowers. When plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a 7 to 10 day period, before planting them in their final positions in patio containers and sunny or semi shaded borders.

Lovely healthy plants, can't wait to see them grown 2016-06-15

Arrived in lovely condition, grew on for a few weeks and have now planted into the garden where they seem to be flourishing. Looking forward to seeing the flowers.

Fabulous T & M 2016-05-24

We've always bought T&M veg seeds from my local garden centre, but this is the first year we've used their online service, and had seeds, postiplugs and small plants sent in the post. The whole experience has been nothing short of outstandingly impressive..... well designed website, good email contact, ingenious posting and packing methods, ensuring that the small plants arrive in perfect nick. Everything has been given a great start. Weeny fuschia plugs that heralded the start of the growing season are now about to bloom...... and fingers crossed for the giant giant tomatoes......

T&M replied on 2016-05-25: Thank you very much for your review. I am glad that you have been happy with your purchase. I hope we can continue to be of service to you in the future.

Fuchsias 2016-04-25

Lovely 2015-12-09

I had never grown fuchsias before but this collection was on offer so I thought I'd try them. Delighted with the healthy plugs that arrived and they've grown into big plants giving me lots of flowers - helped by the addition of Incredibloom I'm sure!

Stunning! 2015-09-22

I've never grown anything from plugs before and I was a bit dubious when I saw how small the plants were. I was sure they wouldn't come to much. How wrong I was! They are truly beautiful with so many huge blooms. I've had so many compliments on my ability! I really didn't do anything other than plant and grow! Just gorgeous!!

Little fuschia plug plants all thriving 2015-08-29

My plug plants were ordered almost as an afterthpught and when they came, they looked so tiny! But I potted them on and soon had to repot them. In the couese of the season they have grown into respectable looking little shrubs--now my only concern is how hardy-hardy is. I live in the far north of Scotland. The actual temp does not get too low, but the winds off the sea are cold and salty and persistent. I would hate to lose them now.

T&M replied on 2015-09-01: Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I am glad to hear that you have been happy with your order. I would suggest to apply a deep bark mulch around the base of the stem. This will protect the roots from cold weather in winter. If you have any further queries at all, you are welcome to contact our Customer Care Team at ccare@thompson-morgan.com.

No Delta's Sarahs :( 2015-08-14

I received the 6 little plants in mid-June & potted them up as instructed. They looked pretty healthy, but unfortunately one of the (supposedly) Delta’s Sarahs wilted & died within a few days. I was rather disappointed as it was the unusual colours of the Delta’s Sarah that I particularly liked within the Collection. The 5 plants have continued to grow healthily, and have come into flower. Unfortunately, as for the other reviewer, none of them are Delta’s Sarah–the plants that were supposed to be Delta’s Sarah & Dollar Princess are ALL Shrimp Cocktail! I really wanted some NON-pink plants for the border–that’s why I ordered the collection.

Fushia ‘Hardy Collection’ 9 postiplugs (Fertilizer used – Incredibloom) 2015-04-10

Fushia ‘Hardy Collection’ 9 postiplugs (Fertilizer used – Incredibloom) Planted on in 7 cm pots and grown on in an unheated greenhouse until the end of June. These were planted into their final planting positions in hanging baskets, tubs and borders. All grew into a tight bushy plant with prolific good sized blooms and fantastic colour.

By Naghmana Ishaq 2015-02-05

My plug of hardy fuchsia has arrived and I have pottedi in small pots but one of the delta Sarah has died just a quick question they too small to pot in borders as they are hardy plants I want them to make good shrubs later should I leave them in pots to grow bigger to plants in borders ? And how long I have to wait for them to plants in borders.

T&M replied on 2015-05-06: Thank you for your review. I am very sorry to hear that one of your Fuchsias have failed. If you would like to contact our Customer care team on ccare@thompson-morgan.com, one of our agents will be able to investigate this matter further. Your Fuchsia plugs are hardy but they will need growing on in frost-free conditions until all risks of frost have passed and they are well developed before planting in borders.

Hardy Collection 2014-10-29

This is very good value. All 9 plants grew well and 8 are in the garden now. I had a good display of flowers from the shrimp cocktail and the army nurse, both of which are lovely colours. I didn't expect flowers in the first autumn. The Delta's Sarah as mentioned above has not come out white and blue but is pale pink with pale lilac. Having planted it in a blue and white boarder this is rather disappointing. It has not flowered much this year, so I will have to see what it is like next year.

Hardy collection - fuschia 2014-06-30

The plugs arrived in June (sooner than expected), with instructions, and were planted indoors - 5 in one trough, 4 in another. Two have lost the will to live (my fault as I've just started the hobby), but the others are now outside, still in troughs, 10" tall, and one has started flowering. I've ordered other items and no issues so far.

Fuchsia 'Hardy Collection' 3 2012-09-14

The plugs were all well rooted and looked fresh. My plants grew nicely, however the Delta's Sarah is not blue at all and the shrimps cocktail not as advertised. I still give a satisfying rating because I got a wonderful deep purple, velvety plant which I like very much.

Hardy Collection - Fuchsia 2012-04-25

The plugs arrived in great condition with a detailed aftercare booklet. I planted them on but kept them indoors thanks to the greatest british weather but they are doing well and growing into fantastically healthy plants and i cannot wait to plant them out into the garden.

Very nice plug plants 2011-09-05

Exellent very healthy plants, very well packed, the plug plants arrived in very good conditions, fery fresh and ready to plant, thank you very much.

Fuchsia 'Hardy Collection' 3 2011-07-08

These 9 jumbo plugs (3 of each variety) arrived in superb condition in May/June and since planting in large pots they have grown to magnificent bushy plants that look stunning all around my patio and by my front door. I am very pleased and as they are hardy I am hoping to keep them for a number of years. Very good value.

Pleased with my order 2011-05-13
