Description
Named for its creamy white seed capsules which split apart to reveal scarlet red seeds - a colour combination that brings Koi Carp to mind! Euonymus hamiltonianus 'Koi Boy' forms a large shrub or small, multi-stemmed tree with green foliage that turns to pale gold in autumn. Hardy and tolerant of a wide range of conditions including thin, chalky soils. An unusual specimen plant for sunny borders. Height and spread: 4m (13’).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 7 litre potted euonymus tree (KA2031)
2 x 7 litre potted euonymus trees (TKA2032)

How to Grow
Grow Euonymus plants on moist, but well-drained soil in full sun or partisl shade. Plants will tolerate exposed and coastal gardens, and may give better autumn colour when grown in full sun.
More Info
Spindle trees are low maintenance and require very little pruning - simply trim them to remove any dead, diseased or damaged growth. Caution: harmful if eaten.
