Eucryphia x nymansensis 'Nymansay' is a particularly choice evergreen tree with an attractive, columnar shape at maturity. The glossy, dark foliage creates a handsome backdrop for its elegant, cup-shaped, white blooms in late summer and autumn. The scented flowers attract pollinating insects making this a great choice for a wildlife area. Although hardy, Eucryphia enjoys a sheltered spot, well away from cold, drying winds. This majestic tree makes a fabulous specimen for a woodland garden or grown against a lightly shaded wall. Height: 15m (49’). Spread: 5m (16’).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Eucryphia in moist, fertile neutral to acid soil. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or compost into the soil prior to planting. Choose a sunny or lightly shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Although hardy once mature, Eucryphia plants will appreciate a layer of fleece for winter protection when young.
More Info
Feed and water Eucryphia regularly until fully established. Once established, they require little attention except for the occasional removal of damaged, diseased and misplaced shoots in winter or spring.
