Description
A curious Purple Coneflower that will certainly attract attention! Large ‘cones’ are surrounded by a skirt of slender reflexed petals. From the second year onwards this hardy perennial produces a dainty ‘crown’ of extra petals on top of each bloom that give it a most intriguing appearance. Like all Coneflowers, Echinacea purpurea 'Double Decker' is a magnet for butterflies and pollinating insects making it ideal for wildlife gardens. The long lasting blooms are also prized by florists for both fresh and dried flower arrangements. Height: 100cm (39"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 1 litre potted echinacea plant (KA5193)
2 x 1 litre potted echinacea plants (T82231P)

How to Grow
Grow echinacea plants in a sunny or semi shaded position on moist, well drained soil. Coneflowers prefer a deep, fertile soil and will benefit from the addition of some well rotted manure or garden compost to soil, prior to planting.
More Info
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season until coneflower plants are fully established. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, cut back faded echinacea flower stems and apply a mulch of well rotted manure to the base of the plant. Divide overcrowded plants in autumn or spring.
