Description

Drosera aliciae is an unusual carnivorous houseplant forming adorable rosettes of spoon-shaped leaves. The leaves are covered in striking bright red hairs, each bearing a droplet of sticky liquid at the tip, which gives the plant a sparkly appearance and traps insects such as midges and flies as well as pests such as gnats and whitefly that may be troubling your other houseplants. Very easy to grow, this gorgeous Princess Alice’s sundew is a simple and highly decorative way to keep your home fly-free! In summer, a single stem arises from the centre of each rosette to bear a cluster of dark pink flowers. RHS AGM. Height: to 10cm (4in). Spread: to 20cm (8in).

How to Grow
Grow Drosera bright light, with at least 4 hours of full sun per day, but avoiding scorching midday sun. They require a frost free position such as a cool conservatory, porch or bright room indoors with a minimum temperature of 15C (60F).
