Dracaena fragrans 'Compacta' is a particularly compact, slow growing Dragon Tree. The glossy, dark green foliage crowds the thick, vertical stems to create a dense and bushy specimen plant. This majestic house plant is easy to grow, making a fine feature in a brightly lit room, and tolerating more shaded positions with ease. An excellent choice for a bright hallway where it will stay neatly compact over many years. Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 60cm (24").

Position Dracaena plants in a warm room away from cold draughts and radiators, with a constant temperature above 16C (60F). For the best leaf colour, choose a bright position in good light, but away from the glare of strong sun. Dracaena thrives in a wide range of light levels, coping equally well in shade.
More Info Water freely between spring and autumn using rainwater where possible, and allow the pot to drain well after each watering. In winter, reduce watering but do not allow the compost to dry out. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. The lower leaves of Dracaena will naturally die back as the plant grows. These should be carefully removed, to maintain a tidy appearance.
