With its pinky looks, Dianthus 'Cherry Burst' is refreshingly different, with pointed coral pink petals, each seemingly dipped in white at the tips. And they boast a lovely soft fragrance too! These striking-looking pinks couldn't be more different to the very average carnations that you find in bunches on the forecourt of service stations! Plant Dianthus 'Cherry Burst' in a sunny spot, either in a border or in pots on the patio, where they'll flower their hearts out from June to September. Ideal for cutting; enjoy their unusual good looks and their scent in vases too. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 25cm (10").

How to Grow
Pot up dianthus plants into pots of free-draining compost, and grow dianthus on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. When all risk of frost has passed and plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Plant dianthus outdoors in moist, well drained soil that has been enriched with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost. Choose a position in full sun.
More Info
Feed and water regularly until dianthus plants are fully established. Deadhead faded dianthus flowers frequently to encourage more blooms to be produced.
