Another bumper show 2012-07-08
Despite the appalling weather these have come up trumps again along with the giant mixed hybrids and the coccinea mixed, they are a little behind in flowering but they are really giving a dazzling show. I hope we do not have early frosts this year
A Big Surprise 2011-06-23
I have never had a great success with dahlias.I thought let's give them a try.Seeds duly planted in potting medium,lo and behold all the seeds germinated.I grew them on under glass until the middle of May and then planted them in the borders.(the weather was very warm this year)I have had and still have a stunning display since the beginning of June. The way the plants are going I suspect they are going to be flowering well into late summer. The other pack of dahlia seeds bought at the same time are giving a stunning display too (unfortunately they seem to be no longer in stock)
