Cupressus 'Goldcrest' is a fast-growing tree, and in ideal growing conditions will achieve around 40-60cm per year, ultimately reaching a height of up to five metres. Applying a mulch at the base of the plant in spring will aid its growth.

Where should I plant cupressus 'Goldcrest'?

Plant Cupressus 'Goldcrest' in a sunny area for the brightest foliage. This cypress is happy in normal, well-drained soil, and is ideal for coastal gardens. This tree will grow happily in beds or pots.

What special care does cupressus need?

Cupressus 'Goldcrest' is a hardy plant, but that doesn't mean 'indestructible'. Protect from persistent winds, and if you're using it as a hedge, keep plants 70-90cm apart to avoid roots growing against each other.
