Description

Commonly known as the Firecracker flower, this exotic sub shrub originates from the tropical climates of Southern India and Sri Lanka. In its native home, it is frequently used in traditions such as making flower garlands and decorating hair.

Handsome, dark green, glossy foliage covers these well branched plants, making the perfect backdrop for its orange-apricot blooms. Crossandra infundibuliformis 'Fortuna' has been specially bred to produce an extravagant display of flowers throughout the summer – perfect for brightening up the conservatory or a sunny room indoors. During the warmest summer months, Crossandra can be moved to a sheltered, sunny spot on the patio. This tender evergreen requires warm conditions, above 15C (59F), all year round. Height: 80cm (31"). Spread: 50cm (20").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Please note: Some houseplants are toxic or harmful to pets if ingested. If you believe your pet has consumed a poisonous plant then seek veterinary attention immediately. Take a sample of the plant with you.
