Description

Corydalis flexuosa 'Purple Leaf' is an unusual garden plant, which is often admired. Plants may look delicate, but they're quite robust, and enjoy our cool English summers. Flowering can often persist from late spring into the middle of summer.

Corydalis plants will effortlessly form clumps in borders, rockeries and shady corners. The foliage is ferny and purple, tinged with red. The accompanying flowers are tubular and in a dashing shade of bottle blue. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 50cm (19").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

2 x 1 litre potted corydalis plants (T58347P)
1 x 1 litre potted corydalis plant (58346)

How to Grow
Grow Corydalis in fertile, humus-rich, well drained soil in a sunny position or in dappled shade. Improve soil conditions by adding plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost prior to planting.
More Info
Water Corydalis plants regularly until they are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of chipped bark or well-rotted garden compost to the base of the plant to help retain moisture in the soil during the growing season. Be aware that plants may go dormant during warm summers. Overcrowded clumps of Corydalis may be divided in autumn or spring if necessary.
