1 Packet (200 Coreopsis Seeds) (TX09052)
Sow coreopsis from February to March on the surface of a good seed compost and lightly cover with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place the seed tray in a propagator at a temperature of 20-25C (68-77F) or seal it inside a polythene bag. Keep the soil damp but not wet. Do not exclude light as this aids germination which usually takes 21-30 days.
When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow them on in cooler conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When Coreopsis plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Transplant outdoors in full sun in any well drained soil at a distance of 30cm (12") apart.

Flower Power ++ 2016-08-23
This is the first time that I have grown Coreopsis and picked up the seeds for a trial price of 99p - so a bargain. I did nothing special and the seeds germinated quickly. Be warned though they do grow taller than 20 ins. My are more like 3ft tall. Saying that though the plus side is that there are masses of flowers in lovely browns, oranges, yellow and purple. They look great planted at the back of the border especially now in August when some perenials have been cut back a bit. They gently waft in the breeze. I planted mine with Cosmos Xanthos and they blend well with the yellow of the Cosmos. Really pleased with the seeds and will grow Coreopsis again as they do not need any special care, though I always dead head.
