Description

Add showstopping elegance to your autumn borders with the lemon-tinted white blooms of Chrysanthemum 'Allouise White'. Sturdy stems bear large, rounded blooms with magnificent incurved petals that are perfect for long-lasting flower arrangements. Coming into their own once most summer bedding plants have faded away, this florist’s favourite will reward you with flamboyant blooms right through until the frosts. Disbudding the stems will produce fewer, larger blooms up to a whopping 23cm (9") in diameter, or let them grow naturally for a mass of smaller flowers. RHS Award of Garden Merit. Height: 120cm (4ft). Spread: 30cm (12in).

1 x 9cm potted plant (KF0012)

How to Grow
When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise chrysanthemum plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before planting them out in borders and containers in fertile, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun.
More Info
Water chrysanthemum plants moderately until fully established, taking care not to overwater. As chrysanthemum flower stems develop they will require staking with garden canes to support and protect them. Incurving chrysanthemum flowers will be larger if stems are 'disbudded'. Gradually remove all buds and side shoots except for the central bud on each main stem. In frost prone areas, cut back the faded stems after flowering, then lift chrysanthemum crowns and store them in fresh compost in a frost free position, until they can be replanted in spring. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes.
