1 Packet (400 Carrot Seeds) (TR00781)
Direct sow Adelaide seeds outdoors from March to July. also ideal for sowing from January to March in greenhouse borders or under cloches. Grow Carrots in a weed free, sunny position in fertile, light, well drained soil. Carrots dislike freshly manured soils so seed beds are best prepared in autumn, well in advance of spring sowings.
Sow seeds thinly at a depth of 1cm (1/2"") in drills 30cm (12"") apart. Germination will take 10 to 20 days. When large enough to handle, thin out the seedlings within each row to 2cm (1in) apart for finger sized carrots. Where space is limited, growing carrots in containers will also produce a worthwhile crop.

The Superb Variety Adelaide 2013-05-27
I have previously grown both the carrot varieties 'Parmex' and 'Mignon' and found them lacking in flavour and texture, unlike the superb carrot variety 'Adelaide', which I grew for the first time last year. It is a better choice for bunching with a crisp sweet taste, which I highly recommend and the foliage looks good too (all the varieties were grown on the patio in terracotta pots filled with a soil based loam).
