Description
A vigorous, hardy evergreen shrub with arching shoots, shiny green leaves to 6cm (2.5") long and clusters of rich orange flowers in May. Berberis trigona ‘Orange King’will produce ellipsoid blue-black 1cm (½") fruits in autumn which are much appreciated by the birds!. Grows in any well drained soil either in sun or partial shade and also makes a great security hedge too! Height: 2.5m (8’). Spread: 2.5m (8’).

How to Grow
Plant Berberis in full sun or partial shade, on a reliably moist, well-drained soil. Barberry plants are extremely resilient and will grow on many different soil types, except waterlogged.

Berberis require little maintenance once established. Trim back the stems lightly after flowering, removing dead or damaged growth at the same time.
