Description
This unusual hardy bulb looks just like a Grape Hyacinth - but twice the size! Robust, upright stems carry fat cones of tiny bell shaped flowers throughout spring, above clumps of fresh green, strap like foliage. Bellevalia 'Mixed' makes an arresting sight planted at the front of cottage garden borders, dotted throughout rockeries or in spring patio containers. Giant Grape Hyacinths are low maintenance and make unusual cut flowers too. Height: 30cm (5"). Spread: 12cm (2"). Bulb size 6+.

50 bellevalia bulbs (T55692BP)
25 bellevalia bulbs (55691)

How to Grow
For the best effect, plant Bellevalia bulbs in large groups. Giant Grape Hyacinth plants prefer a position in full sun in any well drained soil. Plant bulbs at a depth of 10cm (4") and a distance of 5cm (2") apart.
More Info
Allow the foliage of Giant Grape Hyacinths bulbs to die back naturally as this will help to feed the bulbs for the following year. Bellevalia prefers to be kept dry over summer while the bulbs are dormant. Overcrowded clumps can be lifted and divided in summer during dormancy.
