Description

It's easy to see why Agapanthus are so well-loved by gardeners! These low maintenance perennials produce a stylish display of upright flower stems in summer, topped with globes of starry blooms. We've brought together three superb cultivars that tone beautifully with one another to create a coordinated blue and white display. Whether you plant them in patio pots or sunny borders, you can be sure of a performance that will always turn heads. Height: 70cm (27”). Spread: 45cm (18”).

Agapanthus Blue & White Collection comprises:

  • Agapanthus africanus ‘Albus’ – Dazzling white blooms perch upon stiffly upright stems.
  • Agapanthus ‘Blue Umbrella’ - Starry, deep blue blooms are borne in large rounded flower heads.
  • Agapanthus ‘Moonlight Star’ - A striking bicolour variety with pretty pin-striped flowers.

How to Grow
Grow Agapanthus plants in rich fertile, well drained soil, in a sunny position. When growing Agapanthus in patio containers use a soil based compost, such as John Innes No.3 .
More Info
Feed and water African Lilies regularly throughout the growing season. Leave faded Agapanthus flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads during autumn. When the first frost blacken the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect plants outdoors from severe winter weather by providing a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container grown plants can be moved to a frost free position over winter. Divide agapanthus clumps in spring when they become over crowded.
