A fabulous Acer variety with green and pink leaves 'Beni-Shichi-Henge' will happily grow in a large container and prove to be a dramatic centre-piece to your garden displays. With a red and gold flourish as the leaves turn to their autumnal colours before falling to make way for the following spring's new growth. Height and Spread: 200cm (79").

Grow Acer palmatum trees in any moist, fertile, well drained soil in sun or dappled shade. It is quite important to give plants shelter from strong winds which can scorch the leaves. Alternatively grow the Japanese Maple in large containers, using a soil based compost such as John Innes No.3.
More Info Water regularly throughout the growing season until acer trees are well established. Protect plants from strong winds. Acers require little pruning other than to maintain their shape. Lightly trim stems if necessary from late autumn to midwinter.
