Description
Superb evergreen succulents form dense rosettes of foliage which meld together to create a living carpet. Sempervivum come in a fabulous range of forms and colours, with some even covered in spidery webbing. In summer, mature rosettes may produce panicles of star-shaped flowers. Although individual rosettes die after flowering, they are swiftly replaced by small offsets which quickly fill the gap. Commonly known as Houseleeks, these hardy perennials are extremely drought tolerant once established - perfect for planting in wall crevices, rockeries and alpine troughs. These neat little succulents also make a great house plant for a windowsill indoors. Height: 8cm (3"). Spread: 30cm (12").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Houseleeks require extremely good drainage. Grow sempervivum plants in sharply drained, gritty soil in full sun. Hairy species particularly resent cold, wet conditions and are best provided with some protection from winter weather.
More Info
Houseleeks are drought resistant and need little attention throughout the growing season. Divide overcrowded clumps in late spring to encourage their spread.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
