This exceptional variety, Geranium F1 'Best Red' outperformed all others in our trials. The uniform, well branched plants become smothered in large, shapely scarlet flowers that retain their form, without shattering as they fade. These vigorous pelargonium plants are guaranteed to create a top performance in beds, borders and containers. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 35cm (14").
Garden Ready Plants - Our garden ready plants are selected for garden performance, straight from the nursery. We send them to you 'green' ahead of flowering (but please note some varieties may show a few blooms), which means plants will establish quickly and all their energy goes into producing better roots, so they produce more flowers throughout the season.

Pot up pelargonium plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise geranium plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions in containers, beds and borders. Plant geraniums in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any light, non-acidic, well drained soil. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.

Geraniums are half-hardy, and while 'Best Red' is a high-performing variety, unless over-wintered in a greenhouse, should, like other geraniums, be treated as an annual in the UK. Keep well-watered in hot, dry periods.Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
