Courgettes need lots of water, so it's a good idea to put a plant pot in the ground close to each plant and water into it - that way the water goes to the roots, where it's most needed. If you're growing pumpkins and squashes make sure that you've got enough space, as they can take up quite a lot of room in your veg patch! You could grow them on the top of an open compost heap, where they'll be perfectly happy.
Squash 'Harrier' F1 Hybrid (Winter)
Cucurbita moschata, Butternut Squash
Bushy. An outstanding early British-bred Butternut squash. In T&M's trials Squash Harrier F1 was the quickest to ripen, and was ready to harvest approximately 95 days from sowing. The bushy plants of Squash Harrier have an open habit allowing the sun to ripen fruits naturally on the plant giving added sweetness. Pear shaped fruits weigh 800g (1¾lb). 4 to 5 fruits per plant, with excellent long storage at 10C.
Squash 'Patty Pans Scallop Mixed' (Summer)

(Bushy) The vigorous plants of Squash Patty Pans Scallop Mixed produce a colourful mix of tasty 'Patty Pan' scalloped fruits. Harvest throughout the season at various sizes from 'baby squash' for eating raw to its mature size of 15-20cm (6-8in) across.
Squash 'Summer Mix' F1 hybrid (Summer)
Cucurbita pepo, Patty Pan SquashAn exciting colour combination of the increasingly popular 'Patty Pans'. These vigorous bushy plants with long, quite spiny stems, produce high numbers of scalloped 'patty pan' fruits if harvested regularly. Harvest at golf ball-size for soft-skinned, tender fruits to eat whole and raw. Larger 7cm (3in) fruits can be sliced for stir fries or steamed. The final fruits left to maturity can be stuffed/ baked. Mature fruits store well. Mixture includes: Custard Twinkle F1, Pesto Kermit F1 and Polo. More info
