Pumpkin, Squash & Courgette Seeds


Courgettes need lots of water, so it's a good idea to put a plant pot in the ground close to each plant and water into it - that way the water goes to the roots, where it's most needed. If you're growing pumpkins and squashes make sure that you've got enough space, as they can take up quite a lot of room in your veg patch! You could grow them on the top of an open compost heap, where they'll be perfectly happy.

Squash ‘Crown Prince’ is renowned for its colourful rich orange flesh with a sweet and nutty flavour. This RHS AGM stores particularly well, lasting up to 3 months if kept in frost free conditions. Height: 35cm (14"). Spread: 200cm (79").

Squash 'Golden Hubbard' - Heritage

Cucurbita maxima

Hubbard squash have excellent, fine-grained, thick golden yellow flesh with a sweet flavour to match. The rather warted skin is a rich orange. Fruit weight average 3.5-4kg (7-8 lb). Very long storage over winter in a cool place indoors at 10C (50F).
