Bunching onion 'Performer' produces upright, dark green leaves and mild flavoured stems which do not bulb. Use this perennial onion as a spring onion to add to salads or chopped as a chive-like garnish with a mild flavour. This heritage variety forms dense clumps of slender hollow stems that can be used as a substitute to chives.
