Homegrown beetroot and chard (or leaf beet) seeds are simply delicious and easy to grow. They can generally be sown from March to July/August and will give you a good crop of vegetables to keep your salads bright and fresh.

Beta vulgaris var. conditivaAttractive copper skinned, globe shaped roots with beautiful orange coloured flesh that remains just as bright after cooking. Beetroot 'Boldor' has a delicious sweet flavour and adds colour to meals whether, boiled or pickled. The young leaves can be eaten too, either raw, steamed or stir fried.
